Satchel Stillwell, MA, LPC, LPC-S has been counseling clients for over 7 years in both private practice and as the Clinical Director for an addiction recovery center in Azle, Texas. His passion is to see people become whole in their mind, body, soul, and spirit. His experience lends to his expertise serving children, teens, parents, and alcoholics through healing and recovery.
Satchel is an approved supervisor through the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, leading a team of seven therapists and interns here at First Light Counseling.
Bethany Stillwell brings a unique passion and love to everyone she encounters.
She is gifted in marketing and business, and demonstrates what true servant leadership looks like in relatioships. She is thrilled about the opportunity to help individuals find a therapist they are comfortable with. Bethany will work diligently to maintain referral relationships with our partners. Bethany has a BA from Dallas Baptist in Psychology
Jessica is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR and her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She is Board Certified in Telemental Health and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in trauma therapy. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples on a variety of issues such as anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, spiritual issues, and depression. She also enjoys working with couples preparing for marriage and is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
She has gained experience working in both private practice and non-profit settings with a wide variety of clients and circumstances. Jessica’s top priority is to provide a safe place for clients to be themselves and experience acceptance, honor, and support. She loves walking with clients through their unique circumstances and having the opportunity to encourage and celebrate them along the way. Jessica ensures that therapy is collaborative and always tailored to fit the client’s needs.
Ally began her counseling career with Cassie Reid Counseling in Spring of 2014. She holds a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from The King's University. She desires to see people healed, set free, and walking out their God-given destiny in triumph. Her clientele consist of children, teens, young adults, young single-moms, pre-marriage and newlyweds Ally serves under the supervision of Cassie Reid, MA, LPC-S. Her goal is to become a fully licensed counselor in the state of Texas.
Sonny is experienced working with adults, couples and families in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, relational issues, marital issues and trauma. Additionally, Sonny is a certified pre-marriage FOCCUS facilitator.
He has led several marriage classes and serves as a pre-marriage mentor for many couples.
He is committed to the counseling process that equips, encourages, and enables an individual, couple or family to embrace their God-given identity. Sonny believes the best therapeutic approach is a holistic approach that utilizes elements from a variety of resources.
Sonny and his wife Pati have been married for over thirty years; they have two daughters and two grandchildren. Sonny serves as a Deacon and volunteer Care Pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, and is the author of the book, Him Changes Everything. Sonny Gann is an LPC-intern, under the supervision of Cassie Reid, Ph.D., LPC-S
Dr. Hoover is a licensed psychologist in CA and TX, as well as an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and began her professional clinical experience working with individuals and couples in a faith-based, counseling center. Dr. Hoover did her doctoral internship in a forensic setting, providing psychological services for adjudicated adolescents in residential treatment. Prior to moving to Texas, Dr. Hoover served as Director of Behavioral Health for Quality Family Services, overseeing a team of licensed therapists in the provision of therapeutic care. In addition to her clinical experience, Linda and her husband, Jared, have over 35 years of pastoral ministry service. She has also administrated a private Christian school, owned a flower shop, and led worship for over 15 years. Currently, Dr. Hoover is the Director of Biblical Counseling at The King’s University in Southlake. She and Jared are members of Gateway Church and attend services at the Southlake campus. The Hoovers have two amazing, married sons and five adorable grandchildren.
David is a gentle encourager who helps his clients move forward when they feel stuck, whether the struggle is fear, discouragement, or a relationship conflict. He commonly works with couples in crisis, parents struggling to help their children, and individuals – adults and teens – who battle anxiety or depression. He combines evidence-based therapies with a caring heart and a conviction that God will provide a way forward in every situation.
In addition to interning as a counselor at Sundance Mental Health Facility (Arlington, TX) and North Oaks Middle School (Haltom City, TX), David worked 15 years in cross cultural environments where he also gained sensitivity to intercultural issues. He holds MA degrees in Professional Counseling, School Counseling, and Biblical and Related Studies. David is supervised by Dr. Cassandra Reid, LPC Supervisor.
Glenna is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She has joined First Light Counseling (August, 2020) after years of experience with Cassie Reid Counseling, working under the supervision and management of Dr. Cassie Reid, from 2014 to 2020. She is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1, 2 & 3) and Prepare/Enrich. She holds certificate trainings in Telehealth and The Neurobiology and Treatment of Depression and Anxiety.
Her undergrad is from Oklahoma Christian University and in 2014 she competed a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Glenna is also an experienced Pastor, serving in Pastoral Care with Cross Timbers Community Church and is an adjunct professor at The King’s University in Southlake, TX. She has a natural heart and passion to connect people to Jesus so that they can experience God in a very real way. Glenna has a gift for working with couples and families and also works with individuals - children, teens and adults. Her approach involves a holistic design, partnering with individuals and families to restore health mentally, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. Glenna enjoys time with her husband Kirk, three grown children (one is a daughter-in-love)and twin granddaughters.
